Spit OUT that Apple

Spit out that Apple.. Be as a Child Again!


What did we gain from the Apple? from the Tree of Knowledge?
knowing right and wrong.. knowing evil..
knowing fear, anger, hate, hurt, pain, deceit, suffering, doubt, injustice
we had been innocent and trusting as babes..

but now we knew.. everyone knew

We learned to Covet- to want what others had..
and we became jealous and complaining

We learned about Greed- to not share what we have..
and we became spiteful and competitive

We learned to Doubt- others, ourselves and our God.
and we became insecure and reactive

We learned the shortcomings of our own humanity

We opened Pandora's box.. and learned to Hate

And yet we keep eating of this apple,
savoring the flavor of this knowledge? Go figure..
and passing it on to our children.. and to others

When will We spit out that Apple? love that flavor no more?
